Our journey began in the vibrant city of Stuttgart, where Otto Stüber founded Otto Stüber KG as an agency for textile machinery. This was the start of a legacy that would grow and evolve over the decades, always staying true to our core values of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Otto Stüber was a visionary in the textile industry, driven by a passion for machinery and a commitment to excellence. His deep understanding of the industry and unwavering dedication laid the groundwork for what Stüber is today. His philosophy was simple yet profound: provide the best machinery solutions and build lasting relationships with clients based on trust and mutual respect.
The development and distribution of precision yarn cleaners played a crucial role in our company’s history. With the relocation of the company and the establishment of the own production center at the present location in Bissingen Teck, a new era began. Furthermore, Dipl. Ing. (FH) Gerhard Stüber, the son of Otto Stüber, became the CEO. A significant milestone was the first participation at the ITMA Exhibition in Hannover. Additionally, Stüber engineered and distributed the Hand Weaver Knotter System BOYCE.
Building on our successful engineering foundation, we have expanded our portfolio with Sensostop, an innovative sensor system that sets new standards in yarn monitoring. Sensostop leverages capacitive principles to deliver highly sensitive and precise monitoring capabilities. This system is designed to seamlessly integrate with existing machinery, offering an easy upgrade path for enhanced operational control.
Key Features of Sensostop:
- High Precision Detection: Sensostop’s capacitive technology ensures the highest level of accuracy in detecting yarn stoppages, reducing the risk of defects and maintaining product quality.
- Reliability: Designed for robust performance, Sensostop provides consistent and reliable monitoring even in demanding production environments.
- Easy Integration: Sensostop sensors are compatible with a wide range of textile machinery, making it simple to implement and upgrade existing systems.
- Increased Efficiency: By minimizing downtime and improving detection accuracy, Sensostop helps optimize production processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Mobile OE-Tester: Redefining Yarn Inspection
At the heart of our innovation was the Mobile OE-Tester, a pioneering device designed to detect even the tiniest defects in running yarn. Engineered with state-of-the-art technology, this portable tester revolutionized the inspection process, offering unparalleled sensitivity and accuracy. Its mobility empowered textile manufacturers to conduct on-the-spot quality assessments, ensuring that every strand of yarn met the highest standards of excellence.
OE-Controller: Enhancing Quality Control
Complementing the Mobile OE-Tester was the OE-Controller, a versatile device that not only detected defects in running yarn but also provided comprehensive cleaning capabilities. This multifunctional controller streamlined the production process, eliminating impurities and imperfections while maintaining optimal performance. Its integration into textile machinery facilitated seamless operation, ensuring continuous quality control throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Stüber’s electrical yarn cutters were a game-changer for textile manufacturers, offering a level of precision and control previously unattainable with traditional cutting methods. These state-of-the-art devices utilized advanced electrical technology to deliver clean, accurate cuts, ensuring consistent yarn lengths and minimizing waste. With intuitive controls and ergonomic design, our electrical yarn cutters empowered operators to achieve unparalleled efficiency and productivity on the production floor.
In the early 2000s, Stüber made a groundbreaking advancement with the introduction of Fiber Feeding Systems for the production of reinforced plastic. These innovative systems represented a significant leap forward in composite manufacturing, offering precision, efficiency, and reliability in feeding fibers into plastic matrices. Designed to meet the stringent demands of modern industrial applications, Stüber’s Fiber Feeding Systems enabled manufacturers to produce high-quality reinforced plastic components with unmatched consistency and performance.
In tandem with our technological advancements, Stüber underwent a momentous leadership transition in the 2000s with the appointment of Dipl. Ing. (FH) Ralf Stüber as CEO. As the son of Dipl. Ing. (FH) Gerhard Stüber, Ralf brought a wealth of experience, expertise, and a forward-thinking vision to the helm of the company. Under his leadership, Stüber continued to thrive and innovate, solidifying its position as a global leader in textile technology.
In response to the evolving needs of our customers and the growing demand for customizable solutions, Stüber embarked on a strategic initiative in the 2010s to expand our mechanical workshop. This expansion allowed us to bring a broader range of production processes in-house, empowering us to manufacture sensor housing and accommodate diverse customer design requirements with greater efficiency and flexibility.
With the extension of our mechanical workshop, Stüber achieved a significant milestone in our journey towards vertical integration. By bringing critical manufacturing processes under our roof, we gained greater control over quality, lead times, and production schedules. This enhanced control enabled us to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and ensure that every sensor housing met our stringent quality criteria before reaching our customers.
We are excited to announce that our production center is now fully powered by solar energy. With the installation of our new photovoltaic system, we have taken another significant step towards climate neutrality.
By investing in renewable energy, we are not only contributing to environmental protection but also ensuring the sustainable and responsible production of our high-quality products.
